TWO FOR COMMANDER ROSS Bastille and Faisan Dore Win for Montreal Turfman at Havre Close Finish in Main Race of Day. nAVRE DE GRACE, Md., September 13. Commander J. K. L. Ross won two races at the Harford County track today, -Bastille carrying his colors successfully in the inaugural dash, while Faisan Dore accounted for the fourth, the principal offering of the afternoon. Faisan Dore ran coupled with Damrosch, but the latter was slow to start and did well to finish third after closing a big "gap. In the meatime Faisan Dore was out in front setting a fast pace. First he raced Manoevre into defeat, tlien fought ft out courageously witli Gath in a terrific stretch drive, the outcome of which was in doubt until the final strides. Only the smallest of margins separated the two at the end, the French-bred gelding being awarded the decision by a nose. Queen of the Spa furnished some excitement by running away two miles and a quarter after throwing her rider at the post in the third race. The field was then dispatched without her and the winner turned up in El Primo, which defeated the tiring Sayona in the last few strides. The steeplechase was a tame affair. Dorcris, the favorite, stumbled at the fourteenth jump, almost unseating her rider and permitting Vigilante to go on and win easily.
