IKEY T. WINS HOCHELAGAl Tullett Racer Easily Accounts for Feature Race Dreyer Rides Well Wraiths Long Price. MONTREAL, Quebec, September 13. The Hoch-claga Stakes, a dash of three-quarters mile for two-year-olds, was offered as the feature at Blue IJonnets this afternoon and resulted in an easy victcry for H. Tulletts Ikey T., a son of "Waldo Pickaninny. The winner, ridden by Fa tor, was quickly hustled into a long lead, maintained throughout and was eased up the last sixteenth of r. mile. Ajom finished second and Fair Lassie third. Todays races were contested over a muddy track, due to the incessant rains of yesterday, and pronounced mud runners found the going to their liking. Racing was spirited and witnessed by a large-sized Monday crowd, which was undeterred by the threatening overhead conditions. Joe Dreyer sent the talent off to a good start in the opening dash when he brought Doia up to win in the final stride by vigorous riding, defeating Wraith by a nose. Oakling was only a head back of Wraith. Dreyer scored again on Fair and Warmer in a dash for Canadiau-breds. - Algardi, carrying the colors of J. L. Murphy of Philadelphia, had but to canter to win the daily steeplechase offering when Old Bill Bender lost his rider at the twelfth fence. Kate Glenn wiis the runner-up, with Jim O. in third place. Sheridan Clark of the Dorval Jockey Club has made arrangements with Jos. McLennan to accept entries at this track for the opening day at Dorval. Wraith, which was only beaten by a nose in the first race, paid 1.10 for to place. Fred Richard, president of the Dorval Jockey Club, accompanied by Victor LeMay and several prominent members of the club, are daily visitors at Blue Bonnets. The Dorval meeting, which begins on Friday, promises to be one of the best ever held at that course. Jockey E. Hay ward, under contract to B. E. A special race will be given by the Montreal Jockey Club, the conditions of which stipulate that starters be owned by members of the club. The list of members who have announced their intention of showing their colors are: Lord Shaugh-nessy. Sir Charles Gordon, Sir Herbert Holt, Hon. Jeremie L. DeCarie, Miss Allan, daughter of Sir S. Montagu Allan; Major A. B. McDougall, Major A. E. Ogilvie, A. D. McTier and Kenneth Dawes. Bogart and Melos,. which won races the same day during the recent Ottawa meeting, are brothers, the former twelve years old and the latter thirteen. Harry Giddings has about decided to ship his horses from, here to Woodbine Park. Several of his racers have been coughing, among them the promising two-year-old, Royal Visitor. The latter has been put by for the year. Bencher will be shipped from here to Thorneliffe. The J. E. Seagram Stable was shipped direct to Woodbine Park from Ottawa. Resarf, a Canadian-bred two-year-old, the property of the Brookdale Stable, threw .a curb in liis last race. Jack Shine, one of the starters in Mie Xursery Stakes, bucked in both front legs during the running of that race. B. F. Goss, owner of Little Boy, who was a visitor here for a few days, left for Toronto. A carload of sixteen horses will be shipped from here to Thorneliffe Park on Thursday next. In the list will be the horsey owned by E. L. Fitzgerald, J. W. Burttschell and George Finch.
