ST. LEGER WINNER AND HIS OWNER The St. Leger winner, Caligula, is not to be sent to India by his new owner, but will be kept in England, raced for a term, and then used as a sire. He is an excellent individual, sound in every way, and cost his Indian ownerv Mnthurdass Gocul-das, of Bombay, 0,000 the Friday before the English classic was run. Mr. Goculdas is one of the best known native owners in India. At one time he had some beautiful Arab ponies, with which he raced successfully in Bombay. He also ran Australian "Waters, " and later acquired English horses. It is stated that he belongs to a community in India which absolutely forbids its mem bers to cross the ocean.
