CONNAUGHT PARK DECLARES DIVIDEND OTTAWA. Canada, October 22. At the annual meeting of the Connaught Jockey Club Monday E. S. Houston, treasurer, reported that the board of directors had declared and had paid a dividend on the capital stock of three per cent for each of the years in which no dividends were paid. It was announced by the honorary treasurer that a substantial appropriation had been made for the necesj sary improvements at Connaught Park and that the jockey club proposed to invest approximately 5,-000 for a set of pari-mutuel machines. The Duke of Devonshire was re-elected honorary patron; H. B. McGiverln, honory president; Senator Belcourt, president; Sir Clifford Sifton, T. Aheru, G. E. Fauquier, vice-presidents; E. S. Houston, honorary treasurer, und T. P. Gorman, secretary.
