Won easily; second and third driving. BLUE BELLE, showing the most speed from the start, raced MERCHANT MARINE into defeat and won in a canter. VOORMIR ran well and, finishing fast, caught MERCHANT MARINE in the closing strides. The latter raced in closest pursuit to the last eighth and tired. SUN TURRET was speedy for a quarter. FLIBBERTYGIBBET ran well and wore VIVE McGEE down in the last eighth. The latter set a good pace and tired, but finished gamely. ALBERT A., practically left, closed a gap.
