Won easily; second and third driving. LIGHT ROSE raced GOOD BYE into defeat in the early running and, racing into a long lead, won easing up. FLAMBETTE began Islowly, but raced well throughout and; coming; fast through the last eighth, outstayed CRIMSON RAMBLER in the final drive. The latter displayed a good order of speed and finished gamely. GOOD BYE set a fast early pace and tired badly in the last sixteenth. JOAN MARIE ran a poor race. Overweights Flambette, 2 pounds. MACHINE GUNNER saved ground on the turns and outstayed JAMAICA BELLE in the final drive. The latter was forced to race wide throughout and finished fastest of all. RECOUNT, running in improved form, was saved to the stretch, then steadily improved his position when called on and passed TOM McTAGGART in the final sixteenth. TOM McTAGGART was under restraint in the early running and moved up gamely in the stretch, but swerved over to the inner rail, compelling KASHMIR and BALLET DANCER II. to pull up, for which he was disqualified. BALLET DANCER II. raced next to the inner mil throughout and was gaining in the stretch, when she was forced hack. KASHMIR displayed the most speed, but was knocked back when interfered with. RALCO met with interference, but closed a big gap in the last quarter and finished fast. TABLEAU DHONNEUR ran well. DUNBOYNE and LORD BRIGHTON were always beaten.
