CURRENT NOTES OF THE TURF Fred Taral, a good judge, is quoted as declariug that Domino and Rey del Caredes were the fastest horses he ever rode, Henry of Navarre the best stayer and Hamburg lite best individual. Rey dfl Caredes was sent to Ireland by Richard Croker, renamed Americus and made a mark there, both as racehorse and sire. In England owners are provided with free stabling and fodder for their horses at some meetings off the regular racing rontes. These items cost the Chester management ,500 in connection with its two days meeting in the spring, but it could well afford that amount, seeing that the receipts totaled 13,295. While transferring some mares from one Kentucky farm to another, John S. Barbee had the misfortune to have two of them hit by an automobile, one being so badly injured that she had to be destroyed. This ninre was Hitchy-Koo, bay, 1910. by Assagai Hawklight, by Hawkswick, property of Joseph Marrone of New York.
