FRENCH RACING NEWS NOTES In consideration of the payment of the sum of 00 the commissioners of the Societe dEncourage-ment of Racing and Breeding, Paris, issued a permit to William Duke to act as trainer and run the horses of A. K. Macomber September 24 and 25 at the Maisons Laffitte and Tremblny courses. This was an emergency permit, Duke having previously trained for the late W. K. Vanderbilt. The Prix de Bonuelles, one and five-sixteenths miles, ,000 to winner, was run at Tremblay September 25, and was won by Kara Bourouin, b. f, 4, by Throwaway Kaia. by Ukase II. Mr. A. K. Maeombers hr. f, 3, Margaret Ogilvy was second I and Leon Mantacheffs br. f, 3, Madeleine, third. Time, 2:20.
