SIR BARTON set the early pace and was given a breathing spell after racing in front, them came fast again in the stretch and caught MAD HATTER in the closing stride. The latter was caught unprepared at the rise of the barrier and, gaining steadily for the first half mile, rushed into the lead on the back-stretch, but tired in the filial .drive. DR.
