HEAVY TAX FOR TRACKS IN QUEBEC QUKHKC Quebec March 9 The David bill now before the Quebec assembly which seeks to pro ¬ vide assistance for public charities will secure its revenue mainly from taxation on amusements The bill provides that there shall be a tax of 25 cents on every 1 admission ticket to race meetings 10 cents on every ticket and so on in like pro ¬ portion portionWhen When the receipts of the pariinutiicl machines amount to 10000 10 per cent will be deducted I per cent to go to the nice track association and I to the government If the receipts amount to 13000 5 per cent will go to the race track association and per cent to the government If 20NX 4 will go to the race track associa ¬ tion and 15 per cent to the government and so on linehalf of the proceeds of the general amuse ¬ ment tax will be given to tin municipalities to be distributed to local charities aud the other hnlf will be paid t6 the government
