IMPROVEMENTS AT HAVRE Seating Capacity of Grandstand Enlarged New Road to Track Built HAVBK DB GBACK Mil March U The im pruvvments undertaken last fall at the Havre de Grace race course for the comfort of racing patrons are Hearing completion Under the direction of James P IJoss resident superintendent of the course the grandstand has been lengthened to 500 feet and a roadway threequarters of a mile in length has been constructed from the main high ¬ way of Harford county out to the shore of Chesa ¬ peake Bay The grandstand is now twice as roomy as it was last year and boasts of a seating capacity for SOO persons Workmen ate engaged now in putting a roof on the 2J30 foot addition Approaches will have been finished and benches will have been put in place before the first of April when gen ¬ eral manager Edward Burke who has been serv ¬ ing in the stewards stand at Havana will arrive to take charge of preparations for the spring rare meeting of the Hiirford Agricultural and Breeders Association which follows the one at Bowie Ground for the easy parking of 500 more automo ¬ biles than have been cared for in the past has been leased leasedMr Mr Boss hiiH not yet assigned stabling with the exception of about forty or fifty of the horses that ii n to take part in the impending meeting The only racing establishments on the ground are part of the stable of James W McClelland and those of Willis Sharpe Kilmer There are 1012 stalls available syithm tlie trub Juclosurc
