IRISH RACE CROWD PUT TO WORK Irish race goers have some odd troubles in these Sinn Fein and auxiliary police days of the Emerald Isle It is related that one day last month a crowd of racing folks and bookmakers while on their way to The Kells Mullingars race course was captured and put to work All hands were r nged into groups by the auxiliary polie a d c mpellcd to fill in trenches on the roads soi e n iles outside Mullingar The work was arduo s a d unpleasant and the majority of the fatig e p rties made a poor show with the picks a d s ovels provided them themHut Hut the work was done though the crowd missed its afternoon of sport and speculation
