HERKERT MAY BE NEW REGISTRAR NEW YORK, X. Y., July 5. Opinion in racing circles that Andrew Herkert is to be the next registrar of the Jockey Club to succeed the late W. II. Rowe is gaining force daily. Mr. Herkert acted as assistant to Mr. Rowe for twelve years and his appointment to the vacated post of registrar would be popular with the rank and file of those who have business with that office.
