Won driving: second and third the same. BEVERLY BELLE raced in close pursuit of FIFTY FIFTY to the stretch, then responded gamely when called on and. taking the lead, won drawing clear. FIFTY FIFTY, a rapid beginner, displayed the most early speed, but could not withstand the winners challenge. LADY DELHI, always a prominent contender, slipped through next to the rail in the last quarter and finished fast and gamely. DUNCE-CAP began slowly and was forced to race wide, but finished fast and ran a creditable race. TULWAR was in close quarters and tired in the final drive. Scratched 557303TimbroI. 105. FORT CHURCHILL displayed excellent speed and moved up gamely after entering the stretch, but could never overhaul the winner. BLUE BELLE had a clear course, ran well and finished resolutely. SANTA CLAUS raced forwardly throughout. ACE OF ACES tired in the stretch drive. KNIGHT OF THE HEATHER began slowly and was shuffled back on the first turn, but worked his -way up steadily on the inside and finished with a belated rush. SALUTE raced into the lead on the backstretch, but tired in the strtch drive. FREDERICK THE GREAT ran a fairly good race. MISS RANKIN closed a big gap.
