Moores Mc-Gee filly Martha Fallon scord her third straight victory iu Canada when she beat a band of speedy two-year-olds in the ,000 Border Cities Handicap at Devonshire Park this afternoon. She was ridden by Pool, made all the pace and won by a length and a half from Devonite. The stable connections were quite confident and scratched John Finn. Martha Fallon never left the result in doubt after covering the first eighth. She held command throughout and at the end was under slight restraint. The winuers portion of the money was ,000. It was a great day for the Kentuckians. C. T. Worthington scored a double when he won tin; first two races with Icon and Evelyn White. The former was ridden by Disunion, and it was his first winning mount since his accident at this track last, summer. The going dried out as the afternoon progressed, but heavy clouds hung over the course which threatened at any minute to unload a deluge. B. B. Rice has decided to rest his horses at Devonshire until .the return of racing at Windsor. jtVtiie conclusion Of-the next meeting here he will ship his stable to Havre de Grace. Rice contemplate adding several more horses to his stable before shipping to Cuba He will also make an effort to secure the promising apprentice Penman to ride for him this winter. William Dcndas arrived this morning from Park-ersburg, W. Va.. where he went to inspect that racing plant. Doudas pronounced the track at Park-ersburg the best half-mile track in the country. It is eighty feet wide, with the turns well thrown up. The stables are of the finest. The Parkers-burg dates are from September 23 to Si. Then; will be twenty-five running races and the smallest purse will be 00. The further entry of the horse Sold Galore has been ordered refused by the stewards. The horse was fractions iu the paddock yesterday and just as he reached the track he lunged several times and unseating his rider, Mangau, kicked the latter on the head. He was withdrawn from that race and money wagered on him refunded.
