GOOD SEND-OFF AT DEL0RIMIER PARK MONTREAL, Que.. August 4. I. M. Cooper pro-vided the winner of the Shcrbrooke purse, the feature of the opening days racing at Delorimler Park this afternoon, iu Sheba. She led throughout, withstood a challenge from George Y and drew away in the stretch. Fireworth ran a dull race, and Chefa had no opposition for third place. Little Less easily took the measure of some speedy two-year-olds in the second race. Guardsman caused somewhat of a sensation in winning the initial race at odds of almost 40 to 1, the seasons record locally. AValter Mack and Truant both won with speed to spare. Petrograd broke down badly during the running of the fifth race. Mrs. A. Miller claimed Frivolous for 00 after his last victory at Kemptou Park. Starter Elmer Wilscn is able to be about again after his recent illness. lie is rapidly regaining his strength. Judge F. W. Gerhardy will leave here at the close of the King Edward Park meeting for Erie. Pa., where he will serve as judge anil racing secretary during the racing at the Erie County fall fair, from August -1! to S. Joseph T. Walker.
