ICON led under pressure from the start and, withstanding a challenge from CLEM THEISEN in the first half, lasted long enough to outstay SHOOT AWAY in the stretch drive. The latter finished resolutely and was gradually wearing the winner down. CLEM THEISEN ran well to the stretch and tir-d TOREADOR stumbled and unseated his rider at the sbirt. AMACKASSIN raced well for the lirst live-eighths, but tired :.nd had to be hard ridden to outstay AMANDA. The latter made the early pace and tired, but rallied Hid made a fast finish. HEXDRIE began slowly and. being forced to race wide for the entire way, tired after passing LA FOUDRE. The latter also tired after racing KOH-I-XOOR into defeat and taking the lead.
