JOHN SANF0RD AT DEAUVILLE RACES IAKIS. France, August IS. There is an liiiusunlly large and fashionable crowd assembled at Deauviile, which, with its sister city. Trouville, will be the center of racing activity for the next three weeks. Numerous Americans are to lie seen, among whom John Sanfonl is prominent. At Vichy. Wednesday, Marcel Rotissacy two-year-old chestnut filly Experience, by Prince Palatine Ilelene. by Flying Fox, won the valuable Prix de Vichy from a good field. The A. K. Macomber colors were again carried to victory on Wednesday, this time at fashionable Deauviile, when Despard, a two-year-old bay colt, by Maintcnoii Mrs. Despard. by Isinglass, with Frank OXeill up, won the two-year-old feature. Despard is a half-brother to MacKinley and trainer Murphy considers him the best two-year-old under his care. Another two-year-old won brackets Wednesday at Deauviile when the Due Decazes Saintc trstile, a bay filly, by Saint Ange III. Hush, by Saint Serf, romped home in her maiden appearance.
