STAUNCH began slowly, but improved her position steadily and, finishing with a rush, won going away. BODANZKY saved much ground on the turns and look the load in the stretch, but could not withstand the winners challenge. BLUE BELLE rushed into the lead and drew away from her opponents on the last turn, but tired in the final drive. FLUFF closed a gap steadily and finished gamely. YOOR-MIR made up much ground. PAHASKA and COMING quit after racing well for the lirst half. DOUBLET almost unseated his rider at the eleventh fence and tins latter rode the remainder of the race witli the bridle beneath DOUBLETS neck, still the horse finished gamely, but crossed AMSTELLO When taking the last fence, for which he was disqualified.
