DAY GF UPSETS .AT KING EDWARD PARK MONTREAL, Que., August 19. The races were run over a slow drying out track at King Edward Park this afternoon, and a number of upsets marked the sport. The greatest surprise was furnished by Miss Dixie, which beat Discord by a head in the sixth race. It marked the initial victory for the Luke McLuke filly and she returned a dividend of 20 to 1. Edith K., Ned Mileybrigiit, Sea Board and Vansylvia all won by comfortable margins. P. Reuter saddled two winners in Sea Board and Vansylvia. At the conclusion of the meeting here tomorrow a large number of stables will move over to Dorval Park for the fall meeting. I. Tuliett was a visitor this afternoon. His stable of five head has arrived safely at Bine Bonnets. Ho reports that the good three-year-old Ikey T., after a long rest, will be ready for racing at the coming meeting. Nick London pulled up lame after the running of the fifth race today. Due to his fractious actions wJiilo at the post the stewards have ordered the entry of Liberty Bond be refused here in future. Word reached here today from Quebec City that Encore broke a leg during the running of a race there and had to be destroyed. Tony Sinith will be in charge of the! division of tho Blair Mock stable leaving hero for Erie, Pa. He will take along Top Rung, Le Balafre, Martha Gray and the sprinter Pullux.
