BLUE GRASS FAIR OPENS MONDAY LEXINGTON, Ky., Sept. 3. The six races for Blue Grass Fair, which is to open Monday, attracted a total of forty entries, and among them is Southern Gentleman, for which W. V. Thraves paid JfiM.filfO as a yearling. John T. Ireland will be presiding stewards and Messrs. David T. Mat-lack and Charles S. Darnnby will be his associates in the stand. William Dcndas is racing secretary, Dan T. Stewart, clerk of the scales and Tom Brown starter. The Lexington Business and Professional Women Club announces a Community Carnival, to be held October 4, 5 and ti, a feature of which will be a horse show in which there will be Classes for thoroughbreds, trotters and saddle horses.
