BIG OFFER TENDERED FOR AUDACIOUS NEW YORK, N. Y., November 1. Emil Hcrz, manager of the Short Grass Breeding Stud Company, made an attractive offer this morning to Mrs. W. Viau, who races under the name of the Foreign Stable, for the Suburban winner Audacious. The offer, the sum of 5,000, was made in an exceptional manner, in which the Foreign Stable would enjoy the frnits of the racing of Audacious for the remainder of this and next year. Ten thousand dollars was to be paid if accepted and the remainder payable when Audacious should be retired to the stud. The offer was refused, as Mrs. Viau intends to retire the son of Star Shoot Bold Girl to Arthur B. Hancocks Ellerslie Stud Farm in Kentucky, where he wjll join Omar Khayyam next year.
