HORSES AT ORIENTAL PARK Plenty Activity with Arrivals of Racers from United States New Training Track. HAVANA, Cuba, November 1.; There is plenty of activity at Oriental Park these days. With the arrival of horses from Maryland, Canada and Kentucky interest in the approaching meeting is keeping pace with the preparations for the opening on Thanksgiving Day. Among the stables already quartered at the track are the Armouia Stable, with fifteen; T. Cheek, fourteen; C. E, Brosius, ten; F. Delbarrio, ten; Senator Ricardo Dolz, eight: Jose Caballo, six: H. H. Swan, eight; J. J, McCaf forty, six; AV. C. AVest-morelaud, five; G. Riggs, four; D. Hammond, four; AV. Daly, four; II. Herdel. two, anil F. Kelley, two. An added feature at Oriental Park is a new quarter-mile galloping track. It is back of the shed row and between that and the tracks of the Havana Central Railway line. It is a cinder track, -installed under the direction of track superintendent C. E. Brosius. It is designed for the use of owners when the regular track is not available on account qf rain or other reasons. Being made of cinders it -will be available in practically any weather and will admit of exercise for many horses that would otherwise have to remain indoors and idle. Frank Steinhart has four yearlings that were bred in Cuba and therefore eligible to the rich Cuba Produce Stakes. They are said to be quite promising.
