— e CURRENT NOTES OF THE TURF The Turf and Field Club held its annual meeting In New iork las: Wednesday and elected governors lor the year 1922. The horses of J. Marrone. I. Garson. J. Dunn and John Whalen have been transferred from Cravesend to Jamaica. W. C. Clancy has five horses at Jamaica and all are reported in good condition and working under the saddle when weather conditions permit. The speedy California colt Lantados will be started in the 0,000 Coffroth Handicap of one mile and a .|iiarter, to be run at Tijuana March 19. The twenty -five horses in the stable of James Butler in charge of trainer William Hogan will be transferred from Yonkers to Belmont Park on April 1. Daaay Maker, the famous American jockey, died November 9. 1916. in England. He was then thirty -five years of age and in this country and England had ridden 1.771 winners out of 6,790 mounts. Racing Secretury Joseph Mclennan of the Southern Maiyland Agricultural Association has sent ont the program Iwiok for the first week of spring racing at the Bowie track, which opens April 1.
