J, K. L ROSS RACING PLANS Trainer McDaniel Sending Twenty-five Horses to Havre de Grace This Week. RALTlMOKi;. Md.. March L7. -Trainer Henry MeD.iniel has notified the Havre de Grace management that he will transfer twenty-five of the J. K. L. Ross looses from the Laurel farm to that track his week. Billy Kelly, which has won the Harford Handicap at Havre do Grace three times in the last thrc; ycfera, ll being pointed for this stake once more. Be is rounding into racing condition rapidly and stands an excellent chance of carrying away the honors in the event for the fourth successive time. Another probable Ross starter in the Harford Handicap is Lion dOr. which was highly regarded among sprinters several years ago. He appears to be in fine condition once more and has shown good speed in his gallops over the Ross training track. The veteran Boniface is also coming .Hong well in his training and is expected to make his H--d"but early in the spring season. Spani-h Maize is slated to start in the Freakneas al Rimlico and jockey Clarence Turner, the toss eonlracf rider who is galloping the three-year-old daily, thinks well of the colts chances iu the big Maryland feature. The colt, has outgrown the sluggishness which characterized most of his racing last year and appears to be a good racing prospect as a three -year-old. Marble, by Ballot— Tiffany Blend, is another Ross three-year-old which will liear watching. He won several stakes in Canada last year and has shown ability to go a long distance, which should stand him in good stead iu his campaign as a thrre-year-ohl. lie has rained satisfactorily and will start at Iimiico. During commander Ross absence abroad his cottage at the Liurel farm is being remodeled and reaorateft. He is expected to return about the Middle »f April and will make the trip to Havre de Grace from the farm daily by motor. He will entertain a number of friends from Raltimore nnd Washington at the farm during the Havre de Grace Hireling.
