i i . 1 | 1 j 1 j I t 1 3 SLOW WORK AT LEXINGTON I LEXINGTON, Ky., April 24.— This was an off day at the Kentucky Jockey Club track, the mest prominent stable working being ! that of Col. E. R. Bradley. Bet Mosie and : Be Good covered a mile together in 1 :48%. Bit of Green galloped the same distance in , :43?5, it being the fastest move of the day. Modesty and Brush Boy worked a mile in :44% and pulled up as fresh as when they started. Hinkle, which did not have good racing luck last year, has rounded into good form and though not fully extended worked a mile in 1 :45. Brookholt, the five-year-old son of Ballot and Gracilla, has wintered well and will be heard from this year. ] J. M. Brown got in from New Orleans with five head which are quartered at the track. Thomas Griffin, who is training the stable , of C. 1. Smith, a California turfman, and | who has not raced in this section for many 1 1 years, will arrive tonight with nine head. 1
