AQUEDUCTS GRAND MEETING Close to Quarter Million Distributed in Stakes and Purses. Immense Crowds in Daily Attendance Banco cas Stable Is Biggest Winner. The Queens County Jockey Clubs spring: meeting: of 1022 lias, now passed into history. Thre were nineteen- days of racing: at the ever-popular Aqueduct course, occupying the time from June 10 to July 7, during which time 111 races were run and 44,509 distributed in stakes and purses, the daily average reaching the high figure of 2,921. In many respects the meeting was one of the bst ever held at Aqueduct, particularly so f-om an attendance standpoint. Seldom a day passed, even with disagreeable weather prevailing, that a bumper crowd vas not present, arid on the Fourth and on Saturdays the capacity of the track was taxed to accommodate the immense gatherings. The powerful Rancocas Stable, presided over by that astute trainer S. C. Hildreth, gathered into its coffers the lions share of the prizes offered, its horses accounting for twelve races and ?33,109. Other big winners included W. S. Kilmer, 9,S0O ; J. S. Cos- j den, ?19,7.",6 ; Quincy Stable, 8,892, and H. P Whitney, 515,450.
