The Russian owner Mantacheff scored a spectacular success in the 0,000 Prix Eugene Adam at Maisons-Lafitte, Sunday, when his Gaurisankar, bay colt by Sardanapale Diavolezza, won, and his Bahadur, by Sardanapale Amazone II., finished third. Marcel Boussacs filly Zariba, by Sardanapale Saint Lucre, split J.he pair.? The Prix Eugene Adam is one of the more important French stakes for three-year-olds. It is run at a mile and a quarter with winning penalties. In Sundays running there were .eleven starters, including most of the best;three-year-olds in France. The weather was showery, but a big crowd was on harTd. The American colored jockey, James 3t inkfield, rode the winner, which won fromlhe Bous-sac filly, ridden by G. Stern, wijfti ease, by a margin of two lengths. Bahadur was ridden by Bellhouse. The race was also a striking success for the sire, Sardanapale, since all of the three placed horses were his progeny. -
