; WINDSORS POPULAR AND ; SUCCESSFUL MEETING . i i, The first 1922 meeting of the Windsor b Jockey Club, held from July 13 to July 20, was of the usual high standard always main- u taincd by that old and popular Canadian rac- T ing organization. Six stake features, includ- -ing the 0,000 Frontier Handicap, were run during the seven days of racing, attracting 1 the best of the Canadian horses as well as -a number of stars from Kentucky. Altogether 6,755 was distributed in prize money and the daily average distribution amounted to 3,822. Boniface won the Frontier Han- c dicap, the most valuable of the stage fixtures, C while Hopeless captured the Provincial Han- C dicap, of the net value of ,340, the next in importance from a monetary standpoint. The J. K. L. Ross stable won the lions l share of the prizes, with the result that the Montreal turfman heads the list of the money-winning owners, of which the follow- f ing accounted for 00 or more each: ji Owner. 1st. 2d. 3d.
