MRS. DURYEA TO SELL BROOD MARES IN PARIS SPECIAL CABLEGRAM. PARIS, France, August 5. The brood mares from the Haras du Gazon will be sold at auction in Paris October 7, Mrs. II. B. Duryea announced today. The mares ha"e all been bred to Sweeper II., Durbar or Irish Lad this year. Because of the wealth of Hamburg and Meddler blood in the pedigrees of the matrons to be sold it is known that American buyers will make strong bids to acquire the choice offerings at the sale. No decision has been reached as to the disposition of the weanling foals of 1922 from the mares. The present plan is to retain them for sale as yearlings, but no announcement has been made.
