Won driving; second and third the same. SEA MINT gradually improved his position while racing on the inside and, coming fast through the stretch, wore THE PERUVIAN down and outgamed him at the end. The latter took the lead quickly i and drew away while rounding the last turn, but tired in the final driVe. SIUGS closed up ground and, finishing fast, was slowly wearing the leaders down. SLING raced forwardly throughout and made a game finish. DUNCECAP began ilatfooted, but closed an immense gap and ran a good race. DARE had no chance after the start. SOUMANGIIA, after being under restraint for the tir.it turn of the field, took the lead with a rush when going to the thirteenth jump, then easily held sway for the remainder of the race. LYTLE, running in improved form, displayed the most sjeed for over a mile and raced prominently after being passed by the winner. HOUYHNHNM jumped well and, coming fast through the last eighth, easily passed COMIQUE. The latter moved up gamely in the last half mile, but tired badly near the end. MARTINGALE, off forwardly, showed excellent speed in the going and, taking the lead quickly and responding gamely when challenged at the eighth post, was going away again in the linal strides. CHICK VALE began slowly and, working Ills way up on the inside, challenged gamely in the stretch, but tired after appearing dangerous. CARTOONIST was shuttled liack soon after the start, but closed an immense gap while racing on the extreme outside and outstayed BO McMILLAN. The latter met with repeated interference, but closed up gamely when clear in the stretch and was gaining at the end. WILDERNESS ran a good race. BOYS BELIEVE ME, well up in the early running, was forced very wide when entering the stretch. HELL GATE began slowly and finished resolutely. BLUE NOSE meed better than the chart shows. ALADDIN quit badly after going a half mile. ENCHANTMENT, off poorly, was not persevered with. MARK TWAIN was eased up in the stretch. BET MOSSIE set the pace to the far turn, but could not withstand the winners challenge. STARTLE had no mishaps and tired in the last eighth when called on for a final effort. Won driving; second and third the same. FAIRWAY, after racing under restraint in the early running, came wide when entering the stretch, but finished fast and oiitgamed REBUKE in the final drive. REBUKE was always a forward contender and. racing BRIDESMAN into defeat, took the lead on the last turn, but tired when challenged by the winner. SUNNYLAND was badly outpaced for the first half, but finished with a belated rush and was going fastest of all at the end. BRIDESMAN set the early pace, but retired in the last eighth. COSTIGAN raced poorly in going usually favorable to him. ZEV displayed high speed in the going and, racing into a long lead in the early running, kept it and won easing up. DOUGHOREGAN closed a big gap while racing on the outside and made a fast finish. BEATITUDE raced green in the early running, but slipped through on the inside in the stretch and finished very fast. DIAMOND DICK displayed early speed, but tired in the stretch. OSPREY met with much interference and was running fast at the end. CAPE CLEAR tired after going well for a half mile. FOREST FIRE finished well.
