Won easily; second and third driving. DICKS DAUGHTER took the lead quickly and, setting a good pace, withstood repeated challenges in the early running and easily maintained her lead to the end. KENNMARE gained "steadily from a slow beginning and outfinislied NOON GLIDE for second place. NOON GLIDE moved up rapidly at the eighth post, but tired in the last strides. RAFFLES, under slight restraint in the early running, did not respond when called on for a final effort. CONTACT, well up for the. first half mile, tired badly in the stretch. WISEST FOOL was saved behind the leader under restraint until in the final eighth, where he closed up with a successful challenge and was going away in the final strides. SEA SCOT displayed the most speed, but jumped awkwardly and lost ground at all the obstacles. ROYAL ARCH lacked speed and was never dangerous. KELBLEND fell at the fifteenth jump and BRYAN O. ALLAN and MERCURY into defeat, but had to be hard ridden at the end to maintain his advantage. SURF RIDER began slowly and was forced wide when entering the stretcii and lost ground, but finished fast and gamely and outstayed LITTLE CHIEF. The latter improved his position steadily on the inside and, closing a big gap, would have been second in a few more strides. SEDGEFIELD al-o made up ground an finishe with a belated rush. ST. ALLAN ran a fast half and tired in the last quarter. LUCKY ANTOINE gained rapidly and was going fastest of all at the end. LALLY raced well. TOIL showed early speed. UNITED VERDE met with interference at the start. MERCURY ran well to the last eighth and quit badly. EMOTION, after being saved in the early ; running, rushed to the front after going three-quarters and drew clear in the stretch, but tired and gave : way in the final sixteenth. PRUDISH ran a good and game race and was hard ridden through the last j quarter, but could not overtake the two leaders. IRISH CONFETTI lacked early speed. RIALTO, a good looker, raced green and began a trifle slowly, but settled into his stride quickly and, steadily improving bis position anil swerving slightly in the stretch, troubled BOYS BELIEVE ME, but held him safe at the end. BOYS BELIEVE ME set a fast pace for the going and held on gamely when challenged. CAPE CLEAR raced forwardly all the way and always held third place safe. DRO- GHEDA was hard ridden all the way and stood it resolutely.
