Here and There on the Turf Lawrence Realization Day Near. The most valuable race for three-year-olds now near the point of decision is the Lawrence Realization Stakes, which will be run at Belmont Park next Saturday. This time-honored race is a dash of a mile and five-eighths, so it calls for ability to stay over a respectable distance as well as to run fast when required. Allowing for possibilities as well as probabilities, Bunting, Kai-Sang, Little Chief, Horologe, Ray Jay, Relay, Missionary, Lucky Hour, Firm Friend, Whiskaway, Mustard Seed, Ga-lantman, Letterman, Hea, Serenader and Southern Cross seem those which might furnish a fair appearing field numerically. In the light of precedents, however, it is more probable that from two to six starters is about all that may reasonably be expected. A race between Bunting and Kai-Sang alone would not be without appeal to the racing public. But something better may be expected. Outside of the fact that Whiskaway and Rockminister might be sent for the race, Southern Cross, Serenader, Galantman, Horologe and one or two more of good racing credentials might well appear at the post. At present the accrued forfets total "a little more than 5,000. The added money is S5,-000, and it costs 50 to start, so the race is well worth any owners winning. Aside from this, the sentimental impulse to seek a place for a good colt in a list of winners that includes such illustrious names as those of Sal-vator, Tournament, Potomac, Dobbins, Requital, Hamburg, Ethelbert, Major Daingerfield, Africander, Ort Wells, Sysonby, Fair Play, Fitz Herbert, Omar Khayyam and Man o War is a force as impelling as a possibility of winning a substantial sum of money.
