EARLOCKER closed up resolutely when called on, but tired and was doing his best , to withstand UNARS challenge. The latter jumped well, but ran out in the last quarter mile. The latter lacked early speed, but closed up fast on the inside in the stretch and easily raced into second place. PETER BROWN showed the most early speed, but tired badly in the final eighth. SCARE CROW met with early interference and came fast when clear. THREE SQUARE retired after going well for a half mile. EXODUS, under slight restraint until rounding the last turn, ran out when entering the stretch, but finished gamely and outstayed MORVICH. The latter dwelt at the start, but raced into second place in , the first eighth and raced in closest pursuit of the leader to the final eighth, then tired. TREVELYAN, off well, dropped back in the early running, but came again under hard riding and outstayed TIMBREL in the final drive. TIMBREL closed a gap, but tired after running well 1 for three-quarters. BRAVO displayed the most speed for a half mile. CARE FREE ran poorly and was pulled up in the final quarter.
