. 1 MARYLANDS FALL RACING Begins at Havre de Grace Next Wednesday Stake Entries Pouring In. HAVRE DE GRACE, Md., September 1C. An almost complete check of the nominations made last Saturday for the Eastern Shore and Potomac Handicaps, stake features of 510,000 added money each, the former for two-year-olds at three-quarters, the other for three-year-olds at one mile and a sixteenth, shows that they have attracted the acknowledged two and three-year-old stars of tho country, also that entries have come from all parts, Kentucky notably, from which Maryland racing has not in the past been getting horses for fall racing. And as the rosters of these races disclose thoroughbred quality they are also representative as regards nominators of the best there is of American sportsmanship. Racing secretary Martin Xathanson does not believe that he has got all the entries that werj made for the Eastern Shore and Potomac Handicaps within the prescribed time. Such as come in later will be announced tomorrow or next day with the publication of the names of the nominees for tho Havre de Grace Handicap. The Eastern Shore Handicap will be the feature of the racing of this coming Wednesday, the opening day. The Potomac Handicap will be run on Saturday, September 23. The Havre de Grace Handicap will be getaway day attraction, which is to say it will be run on September 30.
