CURRENT NOTES OF THE TURF The three-year-old Sample won the Vancouver Cup, at one mile and a half, on the closing day of the Vancouver racing. According to Early Wright, who has the horse Incognance at Hawthorne, G. W. Wing-field, owner of the Nevada Stock Farm, recently refused an offer of ,000 for the stallion Atheling II. William Gibsons Royce Rools, Jesse Armstrongs Printers Devil and Clinchfield, and George M. Mitchells Galeta, that have been turned out all summer at Sunriyland Farm, Newark, Del., have been taken up by W. H. Travers and are in training at the Aqueduct track.
