DEVIZE S DONCASTER CUP SPECIAL CABLEGRAM. LONDON, England, September 16. Sir William Cookes Devizes, a five-year-old bay horse by Valens Deslioni, carrying 130 pounds, won the Doncaster Cup Friday by a head from Double Hackle, to which he was conceding eight pounds. The cup is at two miles and an eighth and carries a value of ,000. The Prince of Wales Nursery Handicap, at a mile straight, for two-year-olds, resulted in a victory for the Vicomte de Ton-taries Brown Hylda, bay filly, by Stedfast Valkyrie. The Park Hill Stakes, for three-year-old fillies, run over the St. Leger course, was won by Lord Derbys Selene, a bay filly by Chaucer Screnissima. The Portland Handicap, run Thursday, resulted in a victory for the Manton filly Two Step, a three-year-old chestnut filly, by Bachelors Double Dancing Dora, which carried the top weight of 122 pounds. Sir Edward Hultons Soubriquet, daughter of Lemborg and Silver Fowl, won the Scarborough Stakes.
