BELMONT PARK LIVE NEWS ITEMS FROM METROPOLITAN TRACK James Rowe raced Chickvale without blinkers in the Futurity. W. P. Riggs was a Futurity visitor. He will return to Baltimore this evening. Trainer P. Marshall was fined 5 for being late in the paddock with a starter. J. A. Harpers Care Free was barred from starting on account of his misbehavior at the post. Jockey M. Buxton arrived from Canada and will proceeu to Havre de Grave, where he will ride for his brother, C. Buxton. The division of H. P. Whitneys stable trained by James Rowe, sixteen in number, will be shipped to Havre de Grace tomorrow. With the consent of the stewards and permission of S. C. Hildrth, L. Fator was substituted for L. Penman on Picketer in the Futurity. There was one disqualification during the meeting when William Daniels Blanc Scing was set back after finishing first in the Mineola Selling Stakes. The Metropolitan Circuit will not be without horses from the Whitney Stable. Fred Hopkins will race about twelve on the New York tracks until the racing season closes. During the Belmont Park meeting that closed Saturday there were eight run-ups. Five of these were through the claiming box and three were in auction before the judges stand. The total surplus amounted in these races to ,305.20. Two horses changed hands out of selling races when Sam Louis took Thessaly from S. C. Hildreth and when Sequel was claimed by Nicola Loscalzo:
