SALES AT BELMONT PARK Twenty-Two Head Bring Total of 6,640 Golden Rule Brings Top Price of 6,000. NEW YORK, N. T., September 16. There was a sale of horses in training in the Belmont Park paddock today before the running of the first race. In all twenty-two went under the hammer and J. S. Cosden paid the top price when he took the two-year-old Golden Rule from the Morton L. Schwartz consignment for 6,000. Sandy McNaughton paid the second best price when he paid ,250 for Firm Friend, from the Mrs. Viau lot. Frank Bain paid ,100 for Georgie, and it was the third best price.
