Won driving; second and third the same. MARINE CORPS raced close up from the start and. racing into a small lead in the stretch, outstayed KASTESIDK through the last seventy yards. KASTKSIDE showed the moat speed from the start and saved much ground on the last tarn, but tired a trifle right at the end. ROYAL DICK was prominent from the start and outgamed RAPID DAY at the end. RAPID DAY began slowly and had to come around the others, but finished well. CARNARVON dropped out of Torward contention after going three-eighths. WH I TLTATHKR moved up steadily and, taking the lead shortly after rounding the far turn, set a good pace and easily held the race safe pnd won in a canter. GORDON SHAW stood a hard drive resolutely ami finished with a rush. THF. CLOWN came with a rush through the last eighth. PIEDMONT raced into second place and tired nesr the end. PROCEEDS fell back after going well for the first half. VALOISE showed early spM-d and raced in closest pursuit to the stretch. Won driving; second and third the same. DERNIER SOU raced into a good position in the first half mile and, saving ground when coming into the stretch, outstayed INQUIRY in the final drive. INQUIRY was ridden wide into the stretch, but came fast in the final drive. VIRGO- raced into the lead in the first quarter, but had to be ridden hard to dispose of HARLOCK and began tiring near the end. GEM was all over the track and ran a good race. The latter had to work through a rough race and finished fastest of all. MIS3 CERINA ran well, but tired after taking the lead. SWEETHEART showed speed, but tired badly. STOTO displayed much speed throughout in pacemaking and only succumbed right at the end. YORKIST saved ground when entering the stretch and outfinished GUY. GUY raced, gamely and had no mishaps.
