VALENTLV, away well, raced in close pursuit of the leaders until rounding the last turn, then rushed into a good lead and outlinished CUM SAH in the final drive. CUM SAH raced GOOD TIME into early defeat and was forced wide when entering the stretch, but came on fast and made a game finish, but was tiring at the end. ZEALOT gradually improved his position and finished fastest of all. CLOUGH-JORDAN closed a big gap. GOOD TIME retired after going a half mile in the lead. SEA MINT was hard ridden throughout. ALL OVER set the early pace and was taken back under restraint until well into the stretch, then squeezed through on the inside and, finishing with a rush, passed the leaders and won going away. STORY TELLER was a prominent contender throughout and, finishing gamely, outstayed SLEIYECONARD. The latter was saved in the early running and made a game response when called on, but tired in the final eighth. AMOR PATRIAE, off forwardly, was forced back, but came around the leaders in the stretch and finished gamely. SHAMROCK had no mishaps. FRANK G. raced creditably. McKEE was forced extremely wide when entering the stretch and lost ground. ALADDIN was shuffled back In the first eighth. CURTIS was sulky at the post and ran a bad race. RALCO rushed into the lead and set a fast early pace, then held on gamely for second place when challenged. COSTIGAN was oft well and lacked early speed, but closed up steadily through the stretch in a race below his best form. COPPER DEMON finished with a belated rush and appears on edge.
