Won easily; second and third driving. LITTLE BLACK SHEEP was restrained close up until reaching the stretch turn, then raced into, the lead to win easing up. ROYAL PALM showed the most speed, but gave -way suddenly when reaching the stretch turn and came again later on when ridden hard. GRACE E. raced prominently for the entire way. LUGS had no mishaps. BEG PARDON retired in the last quarter. VIOLET MAHONEY began well and, racing prominently from the start, finished gamely under hard riding and outstayed MISS COLLETTE. The latter raced well and was a game contender for the entire race. GRASS MAID showed improvement and outstayed BELLE AMIE. The latter closed an immense gap. PRESTOLITE raced into the lead, but tired in the stretch. GOLDEN BILLOWS raced gamely. MOON WINKS began fast and showed the most speed to the las t turn, but tired in the stretch. GEM finished with a rush. HARLOCK had no mishaps. TOMISIN G TOM was caught in the barrier. BRITISH MAID also Buffeied bv the barriers failure to function properly, but ran poorly.
