MY OWN passed BLUEMONT after racing under restraint for the first three-quarters. BLUEMONT set a fast pace, but was much used in racing MARTINGALE into defeat and tired. SALLYS ALLEY got caught in the barrier at the start. AMBLER and MISS SMITH were pulled up nt the start and ns good as left VIGIL closed a big gap. MARTINGALE ran a good three-quarters. Won driving; second and third the same. OCEANIC forced a terrific pace in the early running and, challenging LUCKY nOUR gamely in the stretch drive, outgamed him at the end. LUCKY HOUR showed a great turn of speed and set a remarkable pace for the first mile, then tired m the last eighth, but finished resolutely. PARAGON II. ran a good race, but was driving hard at the end to outstay EXTERMINATOR. The latter was going fastest of all at the end. CAPTAIN ALCOCK ran an excellent race.
