NEW WASHINGTON PARK ENTRANCE Here are the approach plans and grand entrance to the new home of the Washington Park Breeders Association at Eiverdale, 111., .showing the proposed grandstand, looking east from the Illinois Central right of way. The proposed electrification of the Illinois Central Railroad calls for an elevation of six feet from the present level, so the new plans are governed accordingly. In getting off the Illinois Central express train, you walk directly east right into the grandstand on a level with the mezzanine floor, which is eight feet above the track level. Automobiles coming from Halsted street east over the new driveway approach will .go under the Illinois Central tracks and the driveway will be sixty feet wide, one way drive, and upon entering the park will turn north and south to unloading platforms, thence to the parking space. In perfecting plans for the accommodation of thousands of guests, Scott C. Dyer has taken everything into consideration and is fully satisfied that he has covered every possible point. The plans proper of the clubhouse will follow, also the front view of the grandstand. The working plans are all ready for the meeting of the finance committee, scheduled for Monday. The committee will comprise some of the foremost citizens, who are willing to" lend their support to the proposed enterprise to bring back to Chicago the great American Derby.
