BUYS MARE BAGDADINE G. A. Cochran the Purchaser and Will Mate Her to Fair Play P. T. Chinn Going Abroad. LEXINGTON, Ky., November S. The good mare Bagdadine, heavily in foal to Sweep, has been sold by Messrs. John S. Bar-bee, James C. Carrick and Kinzea Stone, to Gifford A. Cochran of New York, and has been delivered to the Nursery Stud, where she is to be mated next year with Fair Play. Bagdadine is by Flint Rock Ballot, bred by Meddler. Mr. and Mrs. Phil T. Chinn have secured passports and left here this morning for New York, whence they will sail November 14, on the Aquitania for England, it being Chinns purpose to attend the Newmarket thoroughbred sales, December 4 to 8, with a view of purchasing a number of horses for himself and others. They expect to return to Kentucky before Christmas. Incorporation papers for the Himyar Stud, which is owned by Mr. and Mrs. Phil T. Chinn and George B. Chinn, were taken out here yesterday. Heretofore the Himyar Stud has been incorporated under the New York law. The Gallaher Brothers horses have arrived from Latonia and will be in quarters here through the winter in charge of Allan B. Gallaher, while John C. Gallaher goes to the West for rest and recuperation. Pongee, Poke Bonnet and Sweet Lady are to be retired to the stud. Glynn and Whirl are to run for several weeks, Indian Trail, Cherokee, Post Haste, Kingsclere and Triumph and eleven yearlings now comprise the string. Messrs. Edward Cebrian and his guest, Julio Jorrin of Havana, left here this morning for Evansville to attend the Dade Park racing. Mr. Cebrian has decided to spend the winter in Cuba and his horses will be shipped there in charge of John Lowe, after the Dade Park meeting. Mr. Cebrian has taken a contract on jockey Frank Wilson. Harry Davidson, who was Cebrians guest during the fall racing in Kentucky, has left for his home in New York.
