Won driving; second and third the same. JACOBEAN, close up from the start, stood a hard drive through the stretch resolutely and outstayed MAHONY in a close finish. The latter was also close up from the start and made a game finish. AMANDA showed the most early speed, but began tiring in the last eighth. MAGICIAN came with a rush through the stretch. TOE THE MARK ran well. MABEL RULE was never dangerous. PLANTOON was shuffled to the rear at the start. BRILLIANT RAY ran a good race and appeared the probable winner after disposing of ELMER K., but tired finally. ELMER K. set a fast pace, but Was done after going a half mile in the lead.
