I APPOINTED TRACK OFFICIAL BALTIMORE, Md., November 8. Johnson Southard has been appointed track superintendent at the Fair Grounds by John Dymond, president of the Business Mens Racing Association, and left for New Orleans today. Johnson is an experienced man in preparing a track for racing. It was he who prepared the Kenilworth Park track for the Man o War-Sir Barton race and only this fall worked wonders in getting the Hawthorne track at Chicago in condition for the successful meeting that was held there last month.
