WILKES-BARRE set a fast pace from the start, saved ground on all the turns and was going away at the end. PAY DEAR ran a good race throughout, but tired in the last eighth. RIG EL moved vz oa the outside at the head of the stretch and, finishing fast, won drawing clear. WHIRLWIND took the lead on the last turn and set a fast pace, but just lasted long enough to ontfinish BOYS BELIEVE ME. The latter set a fast early pace and finished gamely. BEST LOVE finished with a rush and would have beeu second in another stride. The others were beaten off at the finish. The latter showed the most early speed and set a good pace, but tired near the finish. JACQUELINE JULIAN began slowly and finished fast. PASS AM ARIA and ALL AMERICAN closed big gaps.
