LTJTZ BUYS BARBARA PALMER LEXINGTON, Ky., November 10. Eugene Lutz today sold Lady Ward, by McGee Tinkle, to John T. Ireland, who will retire her to the stud. Lutz then bought from Major T. C. McDowell the two-year-old chestnut filly Barbara Palmer, by Manager Waite Miss Bellamy, by Plaudit, and tonight shipped her to New Orleans, in a car with three yearlings belonging to W. H. Fizer. Barry Shannon, manager of Idle Hour Stock Farm, returned last night from Baltimore. He brought the news that "Dick" Thompson, trainer of the E. R. Bradley horses, is improving and that his physician says he will be all right by the New Year.
