The latter begnn slowly, but saved much j ground when coming into the stretch and, racing into second place, tired slightly near the end.. CUKAMO came from far back in the last quarter. Won driving; second and third the same. I.IEUT. COLONEL began well and was kept in forward contention from the start, stood a hard drive through the last sixteenth and was drawing clear at the end. MAB showed a good order of speed and raced into the lead, but began tiring in the last sixteenth. CRESTWOOD BOY ran well and finished gamely. SURMOUNT closed a big gap.
